Patrick James has been overseeing the operations of the SWI turf division since 1999. He strives to give every customer the “Willand Experience.” This translates into is a strong support of equipment purchase through superior customer service. When Patrick is not in the office you can find him on the bowling lanes knocking some pins over. He also loves spending time with his boys who are into tennis, soccer and football. Patrick is also an avid fan of collegiate and professional football, baseball and basketball.
Greg joined the SWI Turf Division in 2016,and brings more than 30 years of Golf Course management experience with him. A native of Westchester County NY, he found his passion for golf courses at a young age while working for his father, Bruno Vadala. As a certified golf course superintendent, Greg managed courses on both Long Island and in New Jersey. Greg enjoys most of all spending time with his family, movies, a good spy novel and following the NY Giants and Yankees.
George is now entering his 12th year with Steven Willand and has been in Sales for 25 years. He’s a 4-Time Jacobsen Pacesetter Award winner, and takes pride being a leader in his profession. When he’s not on the course he enjoys stepping up to the plate and taking a few swings from the batter’s box. One fun fact about George: he once went yard against Mark Wohlers. We would have loved to see George in the bigs, but we’re glad he’s with SWI until his contract comes through. Be sure to ask George about his front lawn!
Bob joined Steven Willand in April 2015 as a territory sales manager for Rhode Island, Eastern CT, and Bristol County, MA. He started in the business on the turf management side with a family run course in Rehoboth, MA called Hidden Hollow Country Club. After 15 years as the superintendent, Bob moved on and became the Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent under the direction of Ed Walsh at The Shelter Harbor Golf Club. He also spent 6 years in the same capacity at The Alpine Country Club, and three years with Metacomet Country Club. Bob brings with him many years of experience operating and teaching others how to operate many different types of Turf Care Equipment, and always looks forward to helping customers with any new or used equipment decisions, and looks forward to meeting new customers.
Mark grew up working at two local power equipment shops while going to high school. After graduation he became the mechanic at Redding Country Club where he grew up living behind the club. While working at Redding C.C on and off for 10 years, he put myself though college at Western Conn State University graduating with a degree in marketing. With SWI Turf moving to Brookfield, CT in 2000, he took a chance to use his education and equipment knowledge to get in to turf equipment sales, and joined SWI in 2001. Being in golf for over 30 years it was tough to take time off; this led Mark to become an avid snowmobiler, which he enjoys just as much!
